An off-shoot of the Mille Fleur Cochin project, a number of MFC breeders and/or fanciers became enamored with the excessive white birds that kept showing up in the MFC flocks. These beautiful white ~ with splashes of buff, red and black ~ cochins captured the imaginations (and the HEARTS) of a small group of breeders who decided to create a new project, specifically breeding for what we've come to call: Calico Cochins.
