Canon FD-series cameras include the F1, New F-1, A-1, AE-1, AE-1 Program, AV-1, AT-1, AL-1, T90, T80, T70, T60, T50, EF, TX, FT-B, and TL-B. Postings for FL (e.g. Pellix) or R-series (e.g. R2000) Canon Cameras also welcome.

I remember a variable extension tube as well, but don't have my refeences out here. What canon made that was really cool and this dates back to the FL lens

... True, but it still misses: for example, the F1 has microprism/matte there is one for fast lenses, other for slower.
