At the risk of beating this subject to death, I find it necessary to clarify Cayce's readings about the various records carried to the Yucatan area by Atlantean refugees and where they may be now. Feedback and additional questions are welcome. I will begin by quoting the relevant parts of the most important reading on this subject.
Excerpt of reading 5750-1 given 11-12-33 as a special reading on the origin of the Mayan civilization:
"From time as counted in the present we would turn back to 10,600 years before the Prince of Peace came into the land of promise, and find a civilization being disturbed by corruption from within to such measures that the elements join in bringing devastation to a stiffnecked and adulterous people.
With the second and third upheavals in Atlantis, there were individuals who left those lands and came to this particular portion then visible.
But, understand, the surface was quite different from that which would be viewed in the present. For, rather than being a tropical area it was more of the temperate, and quite varied in the conditions and positions of the face of the areas themselves.
Then, with the leavings of the civilization in Atlantis (in Poseidia, more specific), Iltar - with a group of followers that had been of the household of Atlan, the followers of the worship of the ONE with some ten individuals - left this land Poseidia, and came westward, entering what would now be a portion of Yucatan. There had been the upheavals also from the land of Mu, or Lemuria, and these had their part in the changing, or there was the injection of their tenets in the varied portions of the land - which was much greater in extent until the final upheaval of Atlantis, or the islands that were later upheaved, when much of the contour of the land in Central America and Mexico was changed to that similar in outline to that which may be seen in the present.
The first temples that were erected by Iltar and his followers were destroyed at the period of change physically in the contours of the land. That now being found, and a portion already discovered that has laid in waste for many centuries, was then a combination of those peoples from Mu, Oz and Atlantis.
(Q) In which pyramid or temple are the records mentioned in the readings given through this channel on Atlantis, in April, 1932? [[364] series] (A) As given, that temple was destroyed at the time there was the last destruction in Atlantis.
Yet, as time draws nigh when changes are to come about, there may be the opening of those three places where the records are one, to those that are the initiates in the knowledge of the One God:
The temple by Iltar will then rise again. Also there will be the opening of the temple or hall of records in Egypt, and those records that were put into the heart of the Atlantean land may also be found there - that have been kept, for those that are of that group.
The RECORDS are ONE. "
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q1: Why would the Atlanteans (who had the tremendous psychic foresight to create time capsules in a 12,500 year program) build the Yucatan repository of records in a place which was going to be destroyed?A1: The Atlanteans were definitely not infallible (as evidenced by the destruction they caused to their homeland) and perhaps they could not foresee the extent of damage that the final tumults of nearby Atlantis would produce. In another reading, Cayce indicated that people's attitudes and beliefs have a metaphysical effect on earth changes and can lessen or worsen their impact. This variable could explain the shifting severity of Atlantis' final, geophysical death throes.
Regardless of this speculation, Cayce's source clearly stated that Iltar did in fact build temples which were destroyed and inundated when the coastlines of the Yucatan diminished to their present form.
Q2: What about the reading that describes a temple of records in the Yucatan "overshadowing same"? Doesn't this imply that it's above the surface as a mirrorsite to the Egyptian Hall of Records which is buried at Giza?
A2: Not necessarily. This question refers to reading 2012-1 which was a life reading for a reincarnated Atlantean named Oron given 9-25-39 and it states:
"It would be well if this entity were to seek either of the three phases of the ways and means in which those records of the activities of individuals were preserved, - the one in the Atlantean land, that sank, which will rise and is rising again; another in the place of the records that leadeth from the Sphinx to the hall of records, in the Egyptian land; and another in the Aryan or Yucatan land, where the temple there is overshadowing same."
A temple can be on the seafloor and still be "overshadowing" (which in this instance means 'built atop of') a vault of records. The term "same" may be referring to the fact that the records are identical copies of one another which is repeated in two other readings.
Cayce's higher self gave the most readings (with the most details) on the Egyptian repository because it is still intact and more accessible than the other two. If the Yucatan temple and record vault were still on dry land wouldn't Cayce have given more information about this one since it is closer to the United States?
Regardless, this reading does not necessarily contradict (and definitely does not supersede) 5750-1 which contains the the actual prophecy of the three Atlantean record repositories. Therein Cayce was asked directly where the records "are" (in present tense) and he clearly stated (with the same accurate clairvoyance that he used to locate hidden bottles of medicine hundreds of miles away and other missing objects and people) that the records are still within Iltar's wrecked, submerged temple that was "destroyed" by the final sinking action of Atlantis.
Iltar built the temple circa 10,600 bc (the date given in the reading) and it lasted approximately 500 years until the final destruction of Atlantis which occurred around 10,000 bc.
Q3: What about the reading that describes Atlantean records which were carried to the Yucatan where there are "stones they know so little about?" Isn't that the Mayan city now called Piedras Negras?
A3: That reading (440-5 given 12-20-33) pertains to the firestone crystal construction plans and states:
"As indicated, [See 996-12] the records of the manners of construction of same are in three places in the earth, as it stands today: In the sunken portions of Atlantis, or Poseidia, where a portion of the temples may yet be discovered, under the slime of ages of sea water - near what is known as Bimini, off the coast of Florida. And in the temple records that were in Egypt, where the entity later acted in cooperation with others in preserving the records that came from the land where these had been kept. Also the records that were carried to what is now Yucatan in America, where these stones (that they know so little about) are now - during the last few months - BEING uncovered. "
This reading can be confusing because it mentions three worldwide locations containing records as the other two previously quoted readings do (2012-1 and 5750-1). A.R.E. researchers deduced that Piedras Negras in Guatemala is where "stones" were "being uncovered" by the University of Pennsylvania at that time. However, this reading does not describe the sacred historical records of Atlantis! If anything can be inferred by the readings quoted thus far, it is that the firestone crystal construction plans and the historical records were meant to be kept together (as they seem to be in Poseidia and Egypt) but the Yucatan sets obviously became divided.
Q4: Why would the Atlanteans leave the historical records behind (when the coastlines of the Yucatan area changed catastrophically) but save the firestone construction plans?
A4: I can only surmise that the final tumults of Atlantis' destruction were sudden, and the severity of this was unexpected and unforseen by the Atlantean psychic initiates who were not infallible. A tsunami may have pounded the shoreline and taken the Atlanteans unaware and unprepared. Iltar and company obviously thought that they had built upon safe ground (else they wouldn't have done so in the first place) but they were gravely mistaken. If their time capsule was sealed as the Egyptian one is, they may not have had time to break in and haul out the tablets and other items. The crystal construction plans may not have been interred within the sacred chamber of records and the Atlantean refugees may have even considered using these plans to build a new firestone crystal later.
All speculation aside, reading 5750-1 stated that the records were underwater in 1933 and would rise again when the Egyptian Hall is opened as part of the Atlantean records prophecy. Reading 440-5 states that ONLY the firestone plans were carried inland and probably to the Mayan site of Piedras Negras.
Q5: In reading 5750-1, what is the stenographer's reference to historical records of Atlantis given in April, 1932? "[[364] series]" ?
A5:The 364 readings were a special series on the subject of Atlantis. Since the question in 5750-1 pertains to the location of the Yucatan set of sacred, historical records, I searched for a reference to the Yucatan and this is what I found in reading 364-9 given April 28th, 1932:
"(Q) Was Atlantis one of the five points at which man appeared in the beginning, being the home of the red race?
(A) One of the five points.
(Q) The center or beginning of these projections was in Atlantis?
(A) Was in Atlantis. Hence we have, as from the second incarnation there - or the story as is given in Judaism doesn't vary a great deal from that of the Chaldean; neither does it vary at all from that that WILL be discovered in Yucatan... "
This corresponds to what was given concerning the Egyptian repository at Giza on 10/29/33 in reading 378-16:
"(Q) Give in detail what the sealed room contains.
(A) A record of Atlantis from the beginnings of those periods when the Spirit took form or began the encasements in that land, and the developments of the peoples throughout their sojourn, with the record of the first destruction and the changes that took place in the land, with the record of the SOJOURNINGS of the peoples to the varied activities in other lands, and a record of the meetings of all the nations or lands for the activities in the destructions that became necessary with the final destruction of Atlantis and the buildings of the pyramid of initiation, with who, what, where, would come the opening of the records that are as copies from the sunken Atlantis; for with the change it must rise (the temple) again."
It's interesting that Cayce's source gave a definite prophecy here -the records "WILL" be uncovered! Count on it!
Q6: Why does the official Edgar Cayce organization (the Association for Research and Enlightenment or A.R.E.)support the idea that the Yucatan repository of sacred historical records is at Piedras Negras and didn't author/researchers John Van Auken and Dr. Lora Little come to that conclusion as well in their book The Lost Hall of Records ?
A6: I often wondered why the ARE takes this position in defiance of what is stated concisely in the definitive reading (5750-1) which outlines the Hall of Records prophecy. I asked Dr. Greg Little about it and he wrote: "I do understand that some don't accept Piedras Negras (PN) as THE site, but a 1971 publication by the ARE basically outlined the official ARE position on it. I've carefully followed all the readings related to it and am satisfied that it all points to PN and the ARE's official position on PN is correct."
It would appear that this is a party-line position rigidly carved in stone perhaps by Edgar Cayce's eldest son Hugh Lynn Cayce since he was in charge of the ARE in 1971. John Van Auken (the co-author of The Lost Hall of Records) was an executive director of the ARE for many years (he now serves as an associate director) and supports their official positions on such matters. The entirety of reading 5750-1 is quoted in the Lost Hall of Records but the key points of this reading are ignored or denied because they contradict the rather creative inferences that Van Auken made about the Atlanteans' actions concerning the records circa 10,000 b.c. The readings do not state or even imply that Iltar or his successors removed the historical records from one of the "first temples" which were destroyed and carried them to Piedras Negras as suggested in that book.
I still recommend reading the Lost Hall of Records and the research done by Lora Little in section two concerning the Maya is excellent. I also feel that Piedras Negras is an important site and may contain Atlantean artifacts and the "firestone" crystal construction plans unless the University of Pennsylvania archeologists found them in 1933 and brought them to the USA... in which case they may be in the same vast warehouse that the government stored the Ark of the Covenant at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark!
Q7: Where is the location of the underwater temple (or pyramid) of records?
A7: That and the location of the Poseidian repository of records are still undiscovered. Some researchers have logically determined that Iltar's temple must lie somewhere on the shallow Campeche Bank which is adjacent to the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. Drs. Greg and Lora Little had an intuitive sense that Iltar may have landed near Cerritos Island. Others have had an intuitive sense that it lies close to the beautiful, Mayan coastal ruins of Tulum or the nearby cenotes of Xel-Ha. These two sites are on the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula near the island of Cozumel. See this map of the sites in question:
http://atlanteanhalls.netfirms.com/yucatan.html
There does appear to be a noticeable "energy field" at Tulum detected by many visitors there including Dr. J.J. Hurtak and he wrote:
"The experience of the Merkabah is a profound experience that may involve direct and real ascension. But there are other accompanying light experiences which my colleagues and I occasionally witnessed which can become so powerful that great explosions of light phenomena can appear and materialize simultaneously in several locations. In recent times a powerful light appeared around The Book of Knowledge as it was being held while I spoke to colleagues and students at the pyramids in TULUM (October 1999) which was clearly photographed."
