Anyways :-)
1) The easiest way to deal with hosts who are changing the rooms
access list is to set the list with a gold hammer.  Then only a
person with a gold hammer can edit those entries.  Its always safest
to just have one owner in the room...yourself :-) but if you do have
more then one..at least by entering the entries with a gold
hammer..you know that it is another gold who changed the entry..

2)ChristianEthics has a password change kick located under room
protection.  It will notify you and kick out anyone but yourself, who
tries to change the owner code.  So far there isn't a feature that
tells you if someone changed the topic..but if you put topic lock
on..located by typing in /channel it will set it so that only other
owners/hosts can change the topic.  Again, the best protection is
having yourself as the only owner, and people whom you trust and who
respect your requests as hosts.

3) The trouble makers :-) lol God is our best protection, I've seen
him clear a room in under 3 seconds, and its left us utterly
speachless and completely amazed. :-) He is good!  :-)

ChristianEthics also has some built in flood protections...if you set
the ping and time kicks, these are often what people use to flood
others out.  Under rooms settings- auto kicks are several flood
protection kicks.  Also turning on mode lock or mode warn will
prevent them from changing your rooms modes to secret or private,
which in effect 'hides' the room.  Just a note.  Only room
hosts/owners are able to edit the access list, or change the room
modes..so again, be careful who you host, this will eliminate a great
deal of trouble.

Your right, most trouble makers do use 'deception' to cause havoc in
the rooms.  They will pretend to be(clone) another host and someone
in the room will host them..then they cause trouble..and you aren't
even aware of it..you think its some 'hacker' in the room doing
it..when really, the 'hacker' simply used deception to gain access to
your room settings and is sitting there pretending to be a room host,
while they are really messing things all up in the room.

Its best to enter all the hosts/owners gate numbers and full names
into the access list, and only have them hosted through there.  Or
keep a list of gatenumbers and names, and verify both before
hosting.  It also might help to have a secret password just for among
your room hosts/owners..so you can ask them for it before hosting
them, to ensure that its really them and not an imposter.  Its a
pain, but by being a bit careful with who we host/owner..it generally
eleminates almost all of the room takeover problems you have
mentioned.

Hi 777 :-)

I don't think that the !hug is located anywhere else but in the cute
replys file.  If you removed it from that file and its still
answering when you type in !hug, then try turning the cute reply file
off and then on again.  Actually, each time you make a change to a
file, turn it off and then on again to set the changes, otherwise
they will not take effect.

What do you mean about a lenghthy update profile?  Do you mean it
takes several minutes to update the profile?  It should only take a
few seconds, but it also depends on your connection speed and the
server you are on.  And yes, you can have many many different
profiles/passports.  type in /msn.setup and under the passport tab,
just add more hotmail accounts.  For each hotmail account, make sure
that you set up an msn profile/name..and then when you add that
hotmail account to mIRC it will show that profile and name.

Character maps shoud work, you would type it in under the passports
tab, or when the enter a nick name box comes up.

:S:S oki lotsa mucking around ty gwen for helping is there a way to
rid of da hugs 2 i rid of it in cute replys but it still happens my
guess is its in a noter part of da bot were dont ask me :S but b4 i
have any repeted hug floods i wona distroy da hug feture or at lest

well wile in then room with 2 bots who have a hug feture i put in
that bot had to hug !hug and dats how a flood happened :P as for

self out :P :P oki and i found a new thing after about 24 hours or

detect and kick well i hope it isnt wot i think it is that is it
kicks out webtv users :( ive tryed askin a few users to see if it is
but they r to scared so i know for now just use detect only cos im
not sure wot it detects, as for addverts ar a pain and bots adverted
kicker kicks on second time is there any way to make it fist time
round and make da kick mesage were ppl get told we dont alow it cos
in the rooms i host in which r christian we can do without the sites

two !hug !hug you typed causing it.  What do you think?  Just as a

the command and the answer are different.  If they are the same, it
will cause a flood.

About getting golded.  It is probably because ChristianEthics/vincula
stores the room brown and gold passes in memory.  If you set the gold
pass, or if you were in the room as gold when the gold pass was
changed, ChristianEthics will automatically remember it, and it will
use this stored gold pass to make you gold when you come into the
room.  To clear this, type in: /msn.setup and use the last tab that
says: keys/other and clear the stored owner keys(passes) there.  That
should help :-)

Gwen i found u r rite about da flood lops i rofls when i figgerd out
a way to do a hug flood loop :P easy have 2 or more bots and type !
hug something !hug hehehe  and u got a flood now da prob is how to
locate and delete it i have no idea also found bot even with auto
access of. it gets golded ive tryed everything from clearin access
list to user list but it still gets golded :( jmatt reckons its a txt
file im to scare to fiddle i mite muck up bot :S also i found if
iniulized bot after sevrale kicks to baned in flooding row it ither
d/c or stops or baned....i tryed all sorts and have not figgerd wot
make bot do it?? with help from a friend type /kick $chan $nick in
cute replys and u got a self kicker :P i found a noter type of kicker
but im not sayin wot its to dangrious in a room ive just discoverd a
screen wsiper and havn loads of fun with it :P cute repys r kewl !!
quite a few of the hosts i host with love having thunder in room some
ppl disaproove it but i find this bot is kewl :P thankyou gwen i hope

exist by July 10, 2003.

I've just recieved word from James that he is disabling the servers
and is pulling all the websites offline. He will no longer be hosting
any websites at all, including his own, and expects to be fully
offline by 10th of July.

So this means that within the next day or two, the home web site will
no longer exist.

I'll post updates on this yahoo community, and also see if err0r
might post an update for the location of the new ChristianEthics home
page when I find one. :-)

For now, I may go back to using the old home page which is still
listed on the ChristianEthics contact info section:

Hi Gods_Servant :-)

You don't have to register/pay for the ChristianEthics part..but the
fellow who created the mIRC part does ask that people register/pay
for a copy of it.

Once they have done so, they are able to re-download new versions of
mIRC as often as they like, and they do not have to re-register/pay
again.

mIRC is what most scripts use to go to chat rooms.  ChristianEthics
also uses mIRC, so that is why you would have to register/pay for the
mIRC part.

khaled (the fellow who created mIRC) often donates the registration
proceeds to different charities, and he also is very understanding of
those who are financially unable to pay the $20.00 registration
fee...and then just asks for what ever amount they are able to pay.
I'm pretty sure that if you e-mailed him and explained that you are
14 and are unable to pay, he would understand, or even if you
registered it and said on the registration part that you are unalbe
to pay, I'm pretty sure he would understand.
