they are talking about 45xx and 65xx.  the last two xx tells you how many available slots you have for that device.

The redundat equiptment can be bought independtly all the extra ethernet, cards, power suply etc, etc.

And by carrier class they are talking about nexus..  but that is super huge and super expensive by doing several VRFs without using  M-BGP, cisco calls them virtualizing networks, and several networks completly isolated, each one running its own STP, and routing tables and $$$$$.  very very expensive.

sh running config file on Layer 3 switch(6509) should show as in the following example,

 

boot system flash bootflash:c6msfc- dsv-mz.121- 20.E.bin

 

boot bootldr bootflash:c6msfc- boot-mz.121- 20.E2

 

But when i power up 6509 switch immediately after i purchased, and checked its running config file for layer 3, it does not show up as above.I have also attached current running config from Layer 3 switch.

 

What changes should i make to see as above in running config file for Layer 3 switch.
