This is the online workgroup for the Clinical Cognitive Neurophysiology Laboratory at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Fairview, Dublin – the laboratory opened for business on April 9th 2004. This 72-channel high-density electrophysiology laboratory is a facility for recording event-related brain potentials (ERP) from both normal healthy volunteers and various psychiatric and neurological patient populations. There is a special emphasis on the disorders of Schizophrenia and Autism. The group comprises scientists from across the Irish neuroscience community (Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience, St. James Hospital, University College Dublin,St. Vincents Neuroscience Centre, Royal College of Surgeons, etc.) and collaborators in New York (City College of the City University of New York, The Nathan Kline Institute, Albert Einstein College of Medicine).
Postings to this forum will serve to update users on the state of the facility and to pass information regarding ongoing maintenance and lab logistics between the members of the group. Additionally, this forum will serve as a peer mechanism for the vetting of new protocols/proposals and for the dissemination of new work. Anyone who wishes to use the facility for a new experiment should first contact the lab director, Dr. John Foxe (foxe@nki.rfmh.org), with informal enquiries. Pending preliminary approval, full protocol submissions will then be vetted by this group collectively. Any problems with equipment should be immediately reported to this list.
