Hello Everyone!

There is a new mailing
list that has been created for us to communicate a
little better through email. You may subscribe to the
list by sending a blank email
to:
MCSE101-subscribe@yahoogroups.com or you can check it out before you join
by
visiting http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mcse101

I
created the group with MCSE in mind because it is the
next certification I'm reaching for but I have not
forgotten my fellow Network+ techs. This cert really helped
me understand Networking in general alot better and
it is making the MCSE path alot easier. Please feel
free to join this new list and share your questions,
comments, suggestions or even answers ;)

Good Luck
to you all!!

Albert Diaz, A+, Net+, MCP
Sorry I have'nt said much in this club but I've
been out of town alot and have'nt had much of a chance
to check in. Anyway, glad to see everyone here is
helping each other out, that's why I created this club in
the first place. I'll try to get a bit more involved
in here from now on. Until then good luck to you all
and take care!

Albert Diaz, A+, Net+, MCP
I have been to several sites taking practice
tests and I'm getting mixed information. One site says
68% is passing, while another says it's 82%. I need
to know. If it's 68%, I'm definitely ready. If it's
82% I think I should put off the test for another
week and continue studying. Comptia.org doesn't have
the answer. I checked.

Can someone please
help me???

-Ari
What we need here is to post as many resource
links for study guides and practice tests as
possible...to help us better our chances at passing this test,
and to help newbies who come along later. Anyone have
any good ones???
Well I am scheduled for the network+ on December 19. And then its all MCSE from
then on. hopefully finishing by september of next year. Then focus on Cisco
track.
I know my goal is to get Network+ certified by
Solstice (Dec 21) and CCNA certificarion by my birthday
(Jan 30) Anybody else want to share their
goals?

-Ari
Just a quick question, have you tried replacing the power cable? If that does
not do it, you may need to consider biting the bullet and taking it to a
certified repair center.
Thanks for the lead on the software from
Transcender. I was ready to take my test and decided to buy
this testing software just to make sure. It DID make a
difference!! Great teaching tool as well.

Now A+ and
Network+ Certified!
My printer seems to be having a problem. I have
read all the troubleshooting tips, but there are not
any tips for a printer that will not turn on. I have
checked all the cables and they all seem to be connected
fine. Does anyone have any idea why my printer will not
even turn on anymore?
A computer that I will be working on has the Nimda Virus on it. Does anyone
know a website that can help me to erradicate this virus from my
machine?
Thanks.
From what I have found out, the new objectives
are listed on the CompTia web site, but there will be
no training material from the publishers (ie.
Corialis and New Horizons etc.) until after December. I
guess I'll pick up an old book, read up on it, and then
buy a new book and suppliment what I need to know
with it.
If you find anything useful I want to know. Try
cramsession.com net+ I got it, don't know how current it is
though. Haven't found anything upto date since
revisions

Don't forget to post anything you find
I am A+ Certified and I am about to go for my
Net+ certification. However, I am a little confused
since there are new objectives. What books should I use
to study from? Are there any study guides out yet
that cover the new objectives?

that virus info can be
found.

This is an encrypted boot virus, capable of infecting

Try this site www.bookpool.com and type network+ for your search. The book I
would recomment would be the Network+ Study Guide by David Groth and the Exam
Cram Book by the Coriolis Group.
