Greetings Brain Explorers!

I always enjoy the great letters I get from newsletter members like you-

Here's one, and it's a fairly common one for people just starting
Brain Self-Control....

"Neil,

Hi, I just bought your book and I'm at chapter 8 but I can't seem to
click forward controllably, I've tried to tickle with a feather,
energy sending with your index finger and Lingo's way of energy beams
pronging into my amygdala but it's not working, I don't get it, what
am I doing wrong? How do I have to imagine/visualize? Do I visualize
seeing my amygdali infront of my eyes as my eyes are shut? Does it
take a while before you start feeling good when doing it or should I
be feeling good instantly? PLEAAASE help me out, I don't know what I'm
doing wrong.

Thanks!

BVDE

Subject: Re: clicking forward

Just read and absorb.

You are clicking forward and backward all day every day

what you need to do is IDENTIFY it.

Re-read-- its' right there in front of you in the books, and the
web site, and DVDs, and audio CDs.

Go slow.

Read each sentence for complete comprehension
you are going too fast, that's why you missed it.

And that is the supreme cosmic joke

It's right HERE- where you always are.
It's like sitting in a boat and you are looking for the lake.

Start taking a little notepad with you

Note when you have a negative emotion--- that's clicking backwards
Note when you have a positive emotion--- that's clicking forwards.

Eventually, you understand the linking behaviors, and then you CONTROL
the clicking consciously any time any place-- except when your
mother starts to yell at you-- and that usually takes a little extra
effort and practice to keep from freaking out. Hahaha.

Later
Neil

SECOND ENQUIRY:

How long did it take you to control the clicking?
I believe can identify it, I know when I look at peoples and my own
behaviour when I'm clicked forward or backward.
Like right now I'm clicked backward because I'm frustrated that I
can't control it

But I'll do what you said, I'll re-read and write my emotions down
Can you give me some pointers about visualizing though?
and is there an active forum about clicking your amygdala and frontal
lobes supercharge?

Thanks

Everybody gets SOME results right away. I didn't get the BIG Brain AH
HA!!!!!!!!!!! until many years of practicing what my teacher T.D.
Lingo kept telling me, until many years of contemplating Brain
Self-Control, learning Brain Basics.

These days, people get it faster. Why? We have 10,000 newsletter
members providing feedback (on the web site), And everyolne has been
contributing ideas and evolving technique. Brain Exploring has come a
long way since the original Brain Lab of 1957-1993-- we learned a
LOT!~ and we have more Brain Self-Control experience under our
collective belt to draw from.

Many people get astonishing results very quickly- again, read the
feedback pages>> http://www.neilslade.com/Papers/letters.html

For you I recommend: Continue review of all the material- books, and
online.

You'll get it no worries, relax, enjoy the trip.

Visualizing?

Hold a real object in front of your face--- try different things

Then close your eyes and recall all the details

You can practice this a few times a day-- try meals, and what's on
your fork

Happy Holidays to all!
Neil
