I've been doing some more playing with my winter project - modding a Zhaolu 2.5C
DAC. I have to say I'm mighty impressed with how the sound of this DAC can be
changed. I can make it souond like a DI/O. I can make it sound like a Benchmark.
I can (almost) make it sound like vinyl (almost).
If you like to tinker you may want to check it out. There's lots of info over at
www.head-fi.org in the "mod your Zhaolu" thread (about 200 pages worth.

yup, i will report back. i must say i am enjoying the ina103
iteration i got from you, but i can't say it blows away the
performance if the conwentionally modded one. it may offer a smidge
more smoothness, is all. but, i really need to do a more serious
comparison, most of my listening is to fm & winyl anyway...
