Believe it or not, almost anyone can build their own jet engine using materials as simple as old auto parts and a few pipe fittings. These engines are not toys, they are real jet engines built by keen individuals. When you apply for membership, please give a good reason for wanting to join that shows that you have a genuine interest in the subject.
New members are directed to the '1_Starter Pack' folder in the Files section as answers to most of your queries should already be there, although it must be stressed that they are guidelines only and should NOT be solely relied upon for a successful build..! ;o) You can also add your details to the 'People Map' application in the 'Groups Labs(Beta)' section which allows you to see where other members are located.
And finally...
WARNING!!
As is the nature of this group, what we do here is largely, if not wholly experimental and as such there are the inevitable dangers that come with the territory. Please be advised that although every effort is made to ensure that all project diagrams published on this group are safe, they should be treated as
essentially untested and as such should be approached with caution. Anyone attempting to build one of the projects based on a diagram published on this group does so at their own risk.
