Hi:
Have you got a VT-50 already on the way?
I'd like to offer you my VT-50 at a competitive price--it was a
"factory authorized" rebuild, with no evidence of previous operation
on any of the parts. I partially disassembled it to inspect the
turbine and comp wheels, and found them to be "virgin".
This unit has about 1/2-hour of running time as the core of my
successful conversion project. Also, you'll find that adapting a
jet(exhaust)tube isn't a picnic, and I found a way to do it pretty
efficiently. Additionally, I found a great off-the-shelf bellmouth to
adapt to the project.
So in review, I'm offering the following, for $250 USD plus shipping
(only to the lower 48 US states, please!):
.Low-time factory-authorized "rebuild" VT-50 in excellent condition;
no hot starts which would turn the turbine blades into potato chips here!
.Matched jet tube (exhaust) assembly, with a nozzle that begins to
approach the ideal pressures for this assembly.
."hard probe" thermocouple, which mounts into a specialty coupling in
the jet tube; you can adapt this to a number of digital readout boxes
(ask if you need to!).
.P4 pitot tube, to attach a pressure gauge to. This is a 304 SS probe,
so it should last a while.
.Intake bellmouth, mounted on a flange which bolts to the front face
of the VT-50 comp housing.
.Spare comp wheel, never run, and in pristine condition.
.A set of "junk" comp housing parts (if you want them!); these were
useful to me in visualizing how things work in the comp area.
If you are experienced at this and know where to find all the above
you might be able to duplicate this inventory for 1.5x my asking
price. IMO the cost is justified alone by the well-matched jet tube
assembly (I've observed a number of poorly matched tubes for the VT-50
on this forum, so I feel good about my offering here).
Again, here's a youtube link to a "walkaround" of my project so you
can see all I've discussed here:

Ask away, if you have any questions.
