Hi Nick
"Blisk" is more of a gas turbine term rather than a turbo charger one , and
generally refers to rotating axial componentry rather than radial , where the
blades and disc are cast as one , most of our turbine wheels don't have a disc
as such , just a hub with blades , hence the reason we don't use the term , same
applies for our comp wheel, theres no disc with blades only at the periphery ,
the blades start at the inducer where they are on a hub .
LOL........we have lotsa confusion here at times with terminology because of
our "crossover" between turbos and gasturbines and have tried to keep the turbo
parts as turbo parts for simplicity and ease of understanding , but then use gas
turbine terms for the "engine" where there aren't any turbocharger words to do
the job .
I've even reframed from calling my bikes freepower blisk a blisk
http://www.racketmotorman.turbinebuilder.com/displayimage.php?album=3&pos=5 and
simply call it a freepower wheel to simplify matters .
Looking forward to seeing what you're going to build with that VT-50 :-))
Cheers
John

A blisk is the name form the type of turbines and compressors we use.
It means blade disk.
When I get my vt-50 I'm considering getting it re built. I need to get some
prices though.
