RE: [DPI_Group] Soccer Photos on Fox Sports

That's great, Brian!  The big photo on the page, too!  Way to go!

Before completely reading your message I could tell that the player on the right had been pasted in.  It's a good composition that way but technically speaking he looks digitally added, especially his arm.

Sports photography can be a lot of fun.  A lot of work too.

Congratulations!

-Noel

Subject: [DPI_Group] Soccer Photos on Fox Sports

Dear friends, family, & soccer fans,
I just wanted to share this...
Our Richmond Kickers pro soccer team has made it to the finals in the playoffs.  Since I provide a lot of action shots to the Kickers for their promotional materials, Fox Sports is using one of my shots on the front of their soccer page to highlight the upcoming USL first division (pro minor league) finals match on Sat night (the picture that says "Grand Final")...
The Seattle player in the blue shorts on the right has been pasted in, but the rest of the photo is one of my shots from this summer at the U of R stadium.
If you click on the image to read the article and scroll down, you'll see another of my shots of the Kicker's goalie.
More of my photos and info here... http://www.richmondkickers.com/
It's been a banner year for soccer around here (and soccer photos as well), with Jamie's high school's varsity team (Thomas Dale HS) winning the state championship, and now our Kickers pro team making to the finals in the playoffs.  Too bad it's not a home game, because we don't get the Fox cable channel that will carry this match live on tv.  I don't know if I would be able to drag myself out to a sports bar to watch it at 11pm, after getting up at 5am tomorrow to spend the morning shooting a hundred kids portraits plus a dozen teams for our Chesterfield United Soccer Club (http://www.chesterfieldunited.com/  and cusc.bzfoto.com ).
