Signs of disease:
"There is NO other condition that causes enlargements and dropping of the fetlocks either fronts, rears or both - than DSLD - those signs are what we term as pathognomonic for DSLD - i.e. when you have those signs you have THAT disease"- Dr. Mero
Definition of Pathognomic- A sign or symptom that is so characteristic of a disease that it makes the diagnosis.
Research findings by Dr Halper: "Degenerative suspensory ligament desmitis as a systemic disorder characterized by proteoglycan accumulation."
