Do you know anyone who might be interested in doing the HDAS summer
internship? Here's the short announcement:

The U.S. Lexical Reference Department of Oxford University Press is
seeking a grad-level summer intern. Advanced undergrads will be
considered. Primary duties will include tasks associated with the
completion of the Historical Dictionary of American Slang and related
volumes. The internship is a rare chance to get involved in the
making of a dictionary.

The intern should have above-average research skills, experience
using full-text databases or processing large amounts of data, a high
level of computer literacy, and interest in dictionaries or
lexicography. Typing skills are a must, although this is not a
humdrum data-entry job. An understanding of XML would be an asset.
