As long as you're brushing up ShowMan, let me offer my wish list
requests. (You know me; you know I would have some! <g>)
From most to least important to me, they are:
1) When I double-click on a pie segment or a listbox item which
represents a file rather than a directory, I get bounced up to the
parent directory level. I wish it wouldn't do that. I'd rather
have it do nothing in that case than what it does now. If you like
the existing behavior, can that be made configurable?
2) I wish there were a toolbar button that will do a refresh. I
know I can press F5, and I know I can find Refresh on the View
menu. But it is so often the case that I wish I could just refresh
with a single mouse click.
3) Imagine that I've started the scan at some path, e.g. \A\B\C, and
I drill down from there by double-clicking the pie segments or the
list box so that I'm now looking at \A\B\C\D\E. Now I refresh, and
suddenly I'm at \A\B\C again. I've often wished there were some way
to explore my way down to \A\B\C\D\E, and then anchor ShowMan there,
so that all refreshes from that point on start at \A\B\C\D\E. I
know I'm not explaining this very well, and I don't know how many
people would use this, but I would use it frequently. Maybe,
because it's an advanced feature (and therefore not one that many
users would care about), you could bury this in the pulldown menus
(as Refresh is currently); but I would be really happy to see it
somewhere.
