I'm not sure that numeric sort works the way you describe.
Going to original files without numeric prefix, choosing
numeric sort in TVR, OpenFile, drag&drop, keep file names. Here
is the output in a raw DOS form. Looks pretty alphabetical.

Going to original files without numeric prefix but choosing

Now you get a different output. By looking at file sizes, you can see
which is which. I can't figure out what order they are in. It isn't
alpha or numeric.
