Here are the messages we exchanged back in 2004:

Here's a screenshot of the error message I'm getting:

To summarize, SlideShow is giving me an access violation
in ntdll.dll when I have CPU resampling turned on and I
have a number of images in a slideshow which need to be
resampled. The error message always shows the same read
address of 0037FFF5. The problem occurs very repeatably
and follows a predictable pattern, as I described in the
last 2004 message (message #54) in this thread.
I have no doubt that it's working fine for you. It was
working fine for me too on the laptop I was using. That
suggests to me that it's a hardware issue, maybe an
incompatibility between my video card and the runtime
library. Before you suggest that I should try reinstalling
the runtime library, let me say that I've tried that.
Like I say, it's not a big deal, because I can always just
leave the "CPU resampling" option turned off and that stops
the error from occurring. In that case the displayed images
don't look quite as nice, which is why it would be nice to
get this fixed if we could, but it's a workaround I can live
with.
