Above is the web site for my latest photo, M51, the Whirlpool Galaxy.
Taken with my 7" Mak & DSI-Color camera, 29 frames at 2 minutes each, no
auto-guiding, but about an hour of drift-aligning. Taken two nights ago
with the Moon at 60% full, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway. Many
photos of M51 on the web show M51 with a lot of blue showing in the
arms, but I was unable to get that. Is the bright Moon responsible for
diminishing the blue color?
