DeepSkyStacker's Support Group

This group is your place to ask questions, make feature suggestions, share experience and of course post nice results.

I will do my best to answer all the questions in French or in English.

By the way membership is opened to all but is moderated to avoid spammers.

Jeff, in my experience flats need to be about equally bright as the lights. Your camera may be different. Experiment. Take a bunch of flats at different

Luc, I will try to make a new set using the same method that I used to make the first set, and try for the 1/2 histogram. Thanks, Ron

Hi Ron, The usually good range is between 1/3 and 2/3. Can you make a set with the histogram peak at 1/2? I have just the impression that the flats are clipped

Sander, The histogram of my raws are around 30, which is probably just about the maximum I can get for a 30sec, iso 1600 exposure. So do you mean I should

Luc, I put a Tee shirt over the scope and pointed at a white fence and tried for a 1/3 histogram. I thought they looked pretty good but not knowing too much
