Just a quick update ...

1. There are rumors that the paperwork for putting Compendium into Open Source has all been signed.  According to a source close to the source, the code is being readied for Open Source release.  If you are a programmer and have an interest in experimenting with the future of collaborative sense making, I'm betting you'll get a chance pretty soon.  If you don't have the runtime Compendium yet, it's free, stable, and full of great features ... http://www.compendiuminstitute.org/download/download.htm.

2. This year's only public offering of the Dialog Mapping Workshop is coming up next month:

        October 7-8
        Annapolis, MD

See http://cognexus.org/id18.htm for details.  New: reduced rates for reviewers.

Cheers,
Jeff
