My fingers go for ‘dialogue’
and it feels right. Then I saw ‘dialog’ and I coaxed my stubborn hands
to go with that… but this has always felt wrong somehow, yes, truncated and
awkward I’d say… and I was just never sure which was “correct”.
At Wordsmyth.net one finds Dialogue; either way you enter it, it comes up
looking like dialogue
(dialog).
Bottom line? This is crazy making…
wait, I didn’t go yet, every time I see the name David Bohm I think “Dialogue”
– spelled dialogue. So, I’d probably go that way…
Either way October is a long wait.
I’m happy you’re finished…
or mostly finished J !
Good luck with this…

Time
for a little synthesis here. Context: there are more Americans than Brits. Use
all of the following on the cover:
Dialog Mapping
: Building Shared Understanding of Wicked Problems
Dialogue Mapping
Question: Spell it Dialog or Dialogue?
Idea: Dialog
Pro: it will get more press in the US
Con: the British will not like it
Idea: Dialogue
Pro: it will be more accepted in Britain
Con: the Americans will think it affected
Idea: use both and illustrate the decision process too
Pro: unusual, it wiil catch the eye
Con: it makes the cover too damn busy
/- + it will get more press in the US
/- ! Dialog
/ \- - the British will not like it
? Spell it Dialog or Dialogue?
etc, but in the QuestMap or Compendium style instead of this crude imitation
Idea: skip the spelled out version using only the one with icons
That's my idea. Put this or your selection/modification of it out
to the list if you like.
