Wicked Problems & Social Complexity - Figures 1&2   Message List

Hi,

I am currently conducting research for my Phd on problem solving for
product designers (I don't have a specific title yet)at Loughborough
University in the UK.

I have read Jeff's WP&SC paper from the website and think it is a very
friendly introduction to the subject. I especially like the way Figure
2 (waterfall with designer process spikes) illustrates the way
designers work and would like to use it as a basis for communicating
some of my ideas.

My question is: have either Figures 1 or 2 from that paper (or
similar)appeared in
any peer reviewed papers? Of so which ones? What was the methodology
behind thier conception (I know it just makes sense but I really need
to prove it is so!!!).

Thanks,

Glen
