"The dialogue mapper has an attitude, a 'way of being', that is critical to the success of dialogue mapping. He or she is not a passive scribe ... is not trying to run along behind the participants and transcribe their conversation. She isn't quiet or invisible ? she talks and even interrupts sometimes. She is an active ? you might even say passionate ? presence in the room." From Dialogue Mapping book (Chapter 3)
Dear Friend of Dialogue Mapping:
I am happy to announce a public Dialogue Mapping Workshop to be offered next month in the San Francisco bay area.
- Dates: Tuesday, November 29 and Wednesday, November 30, 2005
- Location: Redwood City, California
- Cost: $900
- Location: Redwood City, California
This is the first public workshop since CogNexus moved to the West Coast. It is timed to fall after Thanksgiving but before the Christmas rush begins, and to celebrate the publication of our book, Dialogue Mapping. The meeting location is very beautiful -- our meeting space overlooks a marina and a tributary of the Bay.
The training space is not large, however, which limits us to 8 people for this class. Please check out the additional details of the workshop at Redwood City seminar and register as soon as possible if you are interested. Please forward this note if you know someone who may be interested. And call or write if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Jeff Conklin
