The first Dialogue Mapping Certification Program ends in December with a 2 1/2 day Advanced Dialogue Mapping and Compendium Workshop that will be held in Napa. The Program participants have decided they would like to open this workshop up so we have added a couple of spots for graduates of the 2-day fundamentals workshop who have some practical working experience with the tools and skills of DM and Compendium.
The workshop will be held in Napa at the River Terrace Inn, December 11, 12, and 13. We meet in the afternoon on the 11th (2pm - 6pm), and all day (9am - 5:30pm) on the 12th and 13th.
The workshop will be heavily interactive and practice-oriented ... a laboratory for each student to expand their own interaction style and explore new ways to connect the group to the map. The workshop is designed for practitioners who want to advance their practical skills in facilitating through a shared display, listening in IBIS, map management, and adding value to difficult discussions. We will explore a wide range of topics including catching hidden questions, beyond question types to the "metamap", important Compendium features and techniques, the process of selling and explaining dialogue mapping, and dealing with difficult and uncomfortable situations in a meeting.
Please call or write me or Lizzie Elsey (lizzieelsey at aol.com) to register or for more information.
