From: Jeff Conklin
I'm very excited to announce that in less than two weeks I am offering the first virtual training session in a new line of "webinars" from CogNexus. The webinar format combines a teleconference call with a shared desktop web service (GoToMeeting), and creates a virtual 'classroom' where you can see everything that is happening on my screen and we can interact in a very personal and flexible way around the material of the session.
This first series is called the Graduate Webinar Series because it is specifically for people who have been in one of my face-to-face workshops. There are four webinars in the series, 2 weeks apart, and each lasts 90 minutes. We will cover the whole gamut of topics around Dialogue Mapping and Issue Mapping: theory, IBIS syntax and structure, Compendium and other mapping tools, sharing maps during and after sessions, capturing documents and support materials, decision making, and so on. I can make any participant a presenter so that the class can view and discuss student maps live.
The best part is that this format allows a more fluid and organic learning process. Yes, the face-to-face workshops are an essential first step, providing immersion in the practice and experience of the mapping process. But the webinar format allows for a slower pacing that embeds learning, reflection, and practice in your everyday work and home experience.
This first Graduate Webinar Series begins on Wednesday, April 2nd, at 4:30 pm (Pacific time). The cost of the series is $250.00. For more details and to register, see http://www.cognexus.org/graduate_webinar_series.htm.
There are only 12 spots in the Webinar Series and I expect them to fill quickly. Please register soon, and let me know if you have any questions.
Yours,
Jeff
PS I you have a website where a link our new pages for Issue Mapping, Issue Mapping Workshop, and Graduate Seminar Series might be appropriate, we would be grateful for linkage!
