Hello Dialogue Mapping Group!
I wanted to keep everyone updated and briefly announce a few exciting
news items regarding Dialogue Mapping, CogNexus and Jeff Conklin.
Here it goes and thanks for reading!
1)
CogNexus is about to start its next
Issue Mapping Webinar Series (http://www.cognexus.org/issue_mapping_webinar_series.htm)
and the Early Bird Special discount of $100 ends this Monday, March 30. We have
also changed the time of the Webinar to be at 4pm-7pm Pacific time. You can
check out the specific schedule at http://www.cognexus.org/workshop_schedule.htm
and, as always, please let us know if you have any questions at all.
2)
Check out Paul Culmsee’s www.cleverworkarounds.com latest
blog series “The one best practice to rule them all”. It is currently a 6-part
Series and quite a good read. It explores (among other things) why Paul thinks shared understanding is the “Holy Grail of
project success” and why he thinks IBIS and Issue Mapping are the tools to use
to get it. Here is a link to Part 4 of his series, one of our favorites: http://www.cleverworkarounds.com/2009/03/04/the-one-best-practice-to-rule-them-all-part-4/.
We are also proud to announce that Paul’s company,
Seven Sigma Business Solutions, has become our first Designated Partner. Now, see
what that means by clicking here: http://www.cognexus.org/designated_partners.htm!
3) Our friends at Blue Oxen Associates (www.blueoxen.com) just published a podcast
interview with Jeff Conklin in its new podcast series “Blue Oxen
Barnstars”. In each episode they plan to “…highlight
individuals doing extraordinary collaborative work”. You can view the podcast at:
http://www.blueoxen.com/blog/2009/03/blue-oxen-barnstars-jeff-conklin/.
4) Dialogue Mapping (the book) also just got a great review on
McGee’s Musings at:
http://www.mcgeesmusings.net/2009/03/12/tools-for-tackling-wicked-problems-review-of-jeff-conklins-dialogue-mapping/.
In our January Webinar Series (just completed), we heard from several
participants say that they would like a place to work on maps, IBIS and their
thinking about what they learned. Please feel free to use this list to
communicate and collaborate as to how that best can happen – we would love to
support your efforts!
Take Care,
Lizzie
