This is very last minute, but there's an opportunity here to present
a paper connecting decision-making and collaborative action research
with the public participation field. I would love to submit a
workshop proposal but I'm traveling this week and won't have the time
to pull it together.
Cheers!
Jeff

>Hi, everyone!
>
>This September 21-23, the International Association for Public
>Participation (IAP2) is holding its 17th annual conference in San
>Diego, California. As a Conference Partner, NCDD is playing a major
>role in the San Diego conference and we hope to have a large NCDD
>contingent there. NCDD members will pay a discounted registration fee
>for the conference, and we will hold at least one NCDD-specific
>gathering and/or workshop at the event.
>
>Workshop proposals are officially due tomorrow, but I've been granted
>an extension until next Friday (April 3rd) for NCDD members. Please
>note that this extension is ONLY for NCDD members! Please let me know
>if you plan to submit something so I can make sure you get the
>extension. I also want to hear from any of you who are in/near San
>Diego who might be interested in working on strengthening NCDD's
>presence and offerings at the conference.
>
>If you're on the decision-making and collaborative action side of the
>dialogue and deliberation spectrum, I strongly encourage you to submit
>a proposal. IAP2 members are increasingly interested in dialogue and
>deliberation, and this could be a great way to introduce your work to
>a broader audience.
>
>This year's theme will be Making Sustainable Decisions: The Price and
>Promise of Public Participation. I've attached the application for
>presenters.
