Re: [Digital BW] Feeding problems R1800 Hannemuhle photo rag

Hello:

I generally use the printer's pre-feed button to make sure the paper
is fed properly. I also often have to help it in as it feeds-
especially with heavier papers.

I wrote an article that describes the technique (the article has a
photo of the R2400 with the same button circled as the one you would
press on the R1800)

You can find it here:

Hope that helps,

Andrew

If it's like 2200 and R800 the problem is coating from paper that builds up on printer rollers. HPR is reportedly especially prone to this... The fix is...

Hi Paul and djon: I agree that the wheels have to be clean for any feeding technique to work. I usually take a letter-sized sheet of heavy paper (80# cover) ...

OK, thanks for your suggestion I'll try it, but the 1800 has never run Photo Rag before, and I suspect that it is more to do with the stiffness and weight of...

Paul, I don't know if UK Staples have the cleaning kit, but if the 1800 is like the R2400 you don't need it. The r2400 has a clearly visible rubber feed roller...
