This group is for discussion about digital evolution research and software development, with a special focus on the Avida research platform. Digitial evolution systems maintain populations of self-replicating computer programs that are subject to mutations and limited resources leading to the evolution of complex forms. These software systems are being successfully used for experimental evolution research.
