Gary Dorothy Kildall (Dorothy McEwen) founded Digital Research Inc. in 1974. DRI quickly became the first successful company to license an operating system for microcomputers called "C P/M". It became the de-facto industry standard OS for 8-bit microprocessors. The current DR web site is www.DigitalResearch.biz. Everyone involved presently or in the past with DR is invited to join this group. What started at DR almost 3 decades ago brought us together as a family and we remain a vital and alive family today.

Most of the assets of DRI are now owned by SCO Inc. and/or the Noorda Family including DR-DOS. We welcome members of our DR family and friends to join this Yahoo Group which is a great way for us to communicate as we go forward.
