Re: thanks for the info [Digital_Photography_Forum] yaka plant?

Wow Liz, that was educational .. but I do have a question.  This was posted on
one of the sites;

[edit]WarningsNot all yuccas are necessarily edible. It is wise with any unknown
plant to use the Universal Edibility Testbefore consuming even moderate
quantities.
The "Universal Edibility Test", does this mean feed it to your spouse 1st?  Just
wondering!

LOL.

This thread is another good example of how doing photography can turn

into knowledge concerning things not considered before.

Eating Yucca

And oh, the wonderful Prickly Pear! It can make a super, super

Margarita when paired with the juice of the Agave. Some of the very

best Margaritas that I've ever experienced were Prickly Pear

Margaritas in Arizona made with Prickly Pear syrup for that special flavor.

Prickly Pear Margarita Recipe

crushed ice

freshly squeezed lime juice

undiluted frozen limeade

Tequila (which Tequila you select can cause a big difference in the

final drink taste)

Triple Sec

Prickly pear cactus juice

Sugar or corn syrup

Lime slice garnish

recipes http://www.real- restaurant- recipes.com/ prickly-pear- margarita. html
