Re: [Digital_Photography_Forum] Which Wacom Tablet?

I just got the bamboo pen, and love it! Way better than using my mouse or the
pad on my laptop. Wish I had gone up a level and gotten one with programmable
buttons, as so often in Photoshop and other places I need Alt or Ctrl - then I
could almost do away with the keyboard!

Subject: [Digital_Photography_Forum] Which Wacom Tablet?

I am a weekend photographer taking sports pictures of kids, portraits of
relatives, etc. I use a Nikon DSLR with Photoshop Elements.

I would like to expand my editing with a Wacom tablet. Can you recommend which
Wacom tablet I should invest in? I see the Bamboo, Graphire and Intuos lines.

I am looking for the right mix of features and value. I can spend extra if it
makes sense. Your recommendations are appreciated.

Bamboo is adequate for photographer needs. It has all necessary features (pressure sensitivity, multi-monitor support are the must) and thank god thicker pen. ...

The Alt-Ctrl keys are a good point. I was thinking about a used Intuos 3 off of eBay or a new Bamboo/Graphire from Fry's. Would Elements use the functionality...

The biggest difference between Intuos and Bamboo is twice better resolution and sensitivity to the pen angle ... and mentioned programmable functions. All 3...
