Site purpose and structure
This site is intended as a multi-authored global system and data repository for information about identification, classification and phylogeny of the Diplopoda. The initial focus is a bibliographic database of taxonomic works and catalog of names and types containing original description citations for scientific names, plus some subsequent nomenclatural or systematic works relevant to these names or the classification being used.
