My 17,5 f4,1 mirror is perfect.
Do not know who did and finished the optics. Their excelent.
The images it produces are superb: their purity and sharpness are amazing.
When the scope arrived last november I spent hours rediscovering the moon.
The vues, jawdropping, time after time.
The 17,5 Truss is a winner on DSO and the objects in the reach for this mirror
is way to much.
3 weeks ago we headed north, to the dark skies, gps 5 04'00"E 52 53'00"N and
we expolered the DSO's in and around the BigDipper, Canes Venatici and Coma
Berenices. For the first time a had M109 in the EP with his surface brightness
of 13.60! Showpieces like M106 and M64 where magnificient. A visit tat Hercules
and its great cluster. Pfff what a show, M13! Superb.
We started at midnight because of the moon and the late darkness end Mai,
finished when the sun showed his glow on the noth-eastern horizon around 3h30
am. (52N 4E)
At 4am we headed back to Amsterdam suburbs, 80 km to the south.
