Damage control
ONCE again, The Post gets action. Just a day after PAGE SIX reported that
Veronica Webb's electric car overloaded and burned her house down, killing
her dog, the suits at Chrysler went into damage control overdrive. The
supermodel told us that the carmaker had been ignoring her insurance
company's calls, forcing her to leave the ruins of her home untouched until
a Chrysler rep got around to inspecting the damage. But no sooner did our
story run than an inspector was on the site. "I can't discuss the details,"
says Webb, "but I can get on with my life and rebuild now."
[[ Ms Webb, you should indeed discuss the details, so this problem can get
fixed and does not happen again. So far Electrifying Times's own attempt at
receiving an official reply from GEM has proved futile. This is NOT a good
thing for the EV industry, and concerns about fires and "hidden" secret
battery compartments NOT shown in the owner's manual are indeed a bit scary.
Can we please get to the bottom of this and get some straight answers? Remy
