We will meet at 5:00 in Room 214 of the old Engineering Building on
the UA campus on February 18. The students will meet at 6:00. We
will have an update on the Salamanca, Mexico project, and we'll have a
discussion about a potential new project to support a tilapia fish
farm in Ghana, Africa. The presentation on this project will be
during the student meeting, but we'll talk about how we might support
it. It's a project that is already moving forward sponsored by
another organization, but we'll look into ways EWB can support it as
an official project (either or both chapters).
The Salamanca team will meet separately, and they are looking for a
water resources/mechanical engineer and an electrical engineer
volunteer (see Kiersten's posting). Please help circulate this
request to help the team add these members.
The students are always looking for mentors, and they have a second
water project in Mali, Africa. We will summarize their activities too.
If the timing of these meetings isn't good for you, pleas try to come
when you can. You'll find each of the meetings to be interesting, I'm
sure.
