Description

This is a group made to promote the Enderby Island Rabbit.....more so in the USA. Other countries are welcome too :)

Discuss this beautiful rare breed...post for sale ads, and please, add pictures :)

This breed is unlike any other. Their history is remarkable.

The above link will tell you about their history.

Enderbies are 4-6 pound rabbits, and are silvered. They have only been domesticated for about 15 years, so are a bit of a challenge to breed.

AS OF DECEMBER 1ST, 2007, THERE ARE ONLY ABOUT 270 ENDERBIES!

Please join, and help to bring this breed away from extinction.

We are looking for people willing to purchase and help ship these rabbits from New Zealand....there will be a deadline as to when you must tell me if you are going to help....sometime in mid January.

Rabbits will cost around $100-$250 each, creams are very low in stock. Natures Pace is the rabbitry we are working with, and they have willingly agreed to breed any adult does sold- but this does not mean they will have taken.
Shipping will cost around $2,500....but if enough people help the cost per person will be much lower :)
