Your purchase of these items donates on average $2.00 to the EPN and
more importantly it helps promote and publicize the effort to pass
the AHSPA! Every time a person wears or carries a product carrying
the message to pass HR 503, You are marketing this very important
issue to the American Public!

It amazes me that people are willing to pay top dollar to multi-
million dollar companies for clothing carrying the slogan or logo of
these wealthy companies. In essence You are paying these companies to
advertise their product! Why not instead market the issue of ending
horse slaughter, and at the same time make a donation to a non-profit?

The EPN has HR 503, AHSPA Buttons available at our Cafe Press store
in packs of 1, 10, or 100. You can purcahse 2.5 or 3.5" buttons along
with Campaign Signs to place in your yard! We also have sweatshirts,
T-Shirts, Hoodies, postcards, posters, and magnets available also
with the message to end horse slaughter.

Show your support for ending horse slaughter by marketing the message
to the American Public!

Manufacturers constantly market their product, and shape the American
Public's viewpoint through ad campaigns. One has to wonder why the
wealthy multi-million dollar animal welfare organizations do not do
the same thing as the California Milk Marketing Board. The CMMB has
been manipulating the American Public into thinking that CA cows live
in beautiful fields instead of dirt lots. The tobacco industry
convinced Americans it was cool to smoke.

Why then have we not seen the millions of dollars donated to these
wealthy national animal welfare organizations being used to market the
idea of ending horse slaughter to the American Public in a national
media campaign that includes television ads, newspaper, magazine,
billboard, shopping mall posters, etc? Can you imagine the impact an
ad would have had during the Super Bowl????

These national organizations have the money, they just choose not to
spend it like successful manufacturers and other industry does to
increase business by creating a mindset and a demand for a product.
Manufacturers of bedroom furniture created the idea that we needed to
sleep in separate beds. The slogan was, "never breathe the air of
another." Separate beds led to separate bedrooms leading to the sale
of more furniture, bed linens, carpeting, lamps, etc and to the
construction of larger and larger houses.

The ONLY ad campaign on television geared toward animal welfare is
being conducted by Pedigree. These wealthy animal welfare
organizations MUST start spending their money on a well planned and
organized campaign to instill in the American Public that ownership
of an animal is a very serious responsibility, not to be taken
lightly, and certainly not with the idea that if they can no longer
keep the animal they can sell it or dump it on a non-profit and then
the animal can become a ward of the state. In the case of horses,
they are often sent to slaughter, and in the case of 6 million dogs
and cats, they are put to death each year-some still in gas chambers
or by drowning!

These same organizations need to hire the BEST professional lobbyists
available so that EFFECTIVE legislation can be passed. If that had
been done 7 years ago the AHSPA would be history.

If we want to make a difference for horses and for all animals we
MUST heed what Cathleen Doyle did in California by passing Prop 6 and
6 other precedent setting laws. Doyle learned very quickly how
industry got legislation passed and she implemented the same
strategies. It is time we take the horse slaughter issue to the same
level. Agri-Business knows the animal welfare organizations are much
wealthier than they are, but they also know that the animal welfare
organiazations do not know how to spend their money to accomplish the
goal of passing effective legislation or marketing their ideology to
the American Public.

For Sale Brochures. We will also have available handouts on issues
regarding Disposal Options for Horse Owners, PA Cruelty Law, PA Dead
Animal Act, and an update on the horse slaughter issue.

We are again very fortunate to have Animal Angels joining us with
their latest investigations. You will want to see the documentation
from this hard hitting investigation first hand!

We are also very fortunate to have hand crafted earrings made with
Swarovski Crystals donated by Jessie's Jewelery available at our
booth during the Expo.

We will also be at the Reading Horse & Pet Expo in Reading, PA on
MArch 14-16th along with the Large Animal Protection Society, LAPS.
