One may ask: What is this organization, what do they do? And, one
may ask, why should I support them as opposed to another important
organization? Well, put simply, the answer is that the EPN does
something and is something that we all as Americans value and want to
be a part of. They are a grassroots organization made up of
volunteers who care about animals who value owner responsibility and
accountability as a means to Save America's Horses! The EPN is a non-
profit 501 c 3 organization that was founded by Christine Berry and
today they are an invaluable information source for school children
doing reports, law makers, and others. The EPN has donated books to
their local school in an effort to foster a love of reading and a
concern for the welfare of America's Horses. In addition, their
website has inspired people from all across the country to become
involved in the very important issue of horse welfare today.
The EPN has dedicated much of its efforts to the investigation and
enforcement of cruelty laws as a method to hold owners accountable
for the welfare of their horses, and when necessary, the passage of
legislation to protect all horses. The EPN is a non-profit charitable
horse welfare organization, dependant on public donations. They are
100 percent volunteer staffed, and they don't have a fancy
headquarters, offices, or paid lobbyists. Complete information on
this worthwhile organization can be found by visiting:
http://www.equineprotectionnetwork.com/
Among their many accomplishments to date have been their successful
effort to pass and enforce the PA Horse Transport Law, the strongest
law of its kind in the United States banning double decker trailers
for horses, praised by police officers and prosecutors as one of
Pennsylvania's strongest criminal laws, a law that is now a model for
other states and federal bills seeking to ban double deck trailers
for horses. The EPN continues to educate the public and assist law
enforcement in the enforcement by distributing Horse Transport Law
Cards to the Public. However, there is much more to be done both with
legislation and education of the horse owning public. This is why
they need your help. Please do plan to bid and buy at this very
important Ebay, on-line auction. If you have something to donate, and
yes, they need donations of merchandise too, it can be mailed to
AuctionInn or dropped off at:

America's Horses! If you have something you can donate for auction,
please contact them through their website above. They can use donated
advertising space in major equine publications, gift certificates
from equine related businesses, and other equine related items such
as artwork, and gift items. A complete catalog of donated items and
descriptions for bidding/purchase is available for viewing at the EPN
website: http://www.equineprotectionnetwork.com
You can also donate items to the EPN anytime you clean out your tack
room or house, simply drop them off or mail to AuctionInn, the EPN's
reseller on Ebay. You can also sell your item on Ebay and select the
EPN to benefit through Ebay's Mission Fish program.
Lastly, in this very important election year, we cannot forget those
animals that serve us well and the people that help protect them. EPN
needs your help to continue the important work of educating the
public and providing services to law enforcement personnel in their
effort to Save America's Horses! Thank you for helping to Save
America's Horses by making this auction a success.
