Hi Jim. It's good to hear from you. To answer your question, we have six
non-FRAC members signed up so far. Of course, most of the speakers are not
members either. Registrations are running a little behind where I think they
should be by now. Then again, they may be just right. I really don't know as
this is my first year organizing the event. Hopefully, we'll be getting more
registrations in as the date of the event approaches. I got three registrations
in today and hopefully that's an indication that things are starting to pick up.
Have you looked at our door prize page and our speaker page on our main website?
We've got some nice door prizes this year with more on the way.

The speakers should be good again this year as well. Brian Combs and Norm
Worsley will give a presentation on the remote operation of an observatory.
This is cool stuff. Brian sits in his den in Macon, Ga. and takes beautiful
photos with his telescope that is in an observatory down in Southwest Georgia.
Also Larry Owens will be talking on astrophotography and Dr. Schmude has an
interesting presentation on Saturn lined up. Of course, Phil Sacco always puts
on an interesting and informative presentation. This is what I think they're
going to talk about but it could change. The topic of their presentation is
entirely up to them.
Things are coming together nicely for the event. I've already talked to the
people at Georgia Power and arrainged to make sure the lights are off. If
you'll look at the "Photos" link on this site, you can see what the tee shirts
are going to look like this year. Hope you like the design and color.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing you again this year Jim. Bring as many
people as you can. We'd love to have them. Drive carefully now.
