The US Senate Agriculture Committee has announced the lineup of
members in its subcommittees, after adding a new Subcommittee on
Energy, Science & Technology and re-shuffling subcommittee
responsibilities. Unlike the House of Representatives, Senate
committees typically mark up legislation at the full committee
level, rather than in subcommittee first, so subcommittee
assignments may not be as critical as in the House. However, the
subcommittee assignments provide a platform for holding hearings,
and may signal the areas of interest for those members.
The two Senate Agriculture Subcommittees with the most jurisdiction
over wildlife-related programs, and their members, are:
