I remember around 2 years ago when I started creating content in
Flashlite, I figures that flash for mobile devices would really take
off and would become the next big thing. I made a few applications and
waited for the eventual flood of interest. That's where I left it.I
also quit making marketing efforts because US carriers seem hell-bent
on making the creation of custom content extremely difficult such as
Verizon and their relationship with Qualcomm.
At least in the US, it would seem that the purpose that flashlite was
developed for- which was for the advent of UI interface and rich media
experiences on cell phones has come to fruitation in a totally
different form, which is to say that mobile devices seem to have been
able to show already existent web sites in their current formats. The
new Iphone is a perfect example of such a phone where current web
sites can be viewed fairly easily.
I hate to sound nagative, but at least for now I don't see Flashlite
in it's current form becoming much of a driving force behind mobile
interfaces. We'll see, but that's what I seem to be seeing in the US
market.
