I am self-taught Fortran recreational programmer for about a year now,
using Gfortran for both Win32 and Linux (CentOS).
I am frequently in #Fortran on Freenode IRC trying my best to help
newbies asking the same questions trying to complete a school assignment
or whatever...

I am always on the outlook for new and _affordable_ books on fortran;
who can believe the prices on most books available!

I taught myself Fortran because I thought it would be fun and an
alternative to C/C++ and provide new insights into programming methods.
I call myself a 'recrational programmer' which is someone who programs
for fun and simply for the self-gratitude of learning on their own.

I have a stable version of Octave installed on both Win32 and Linux,
which provide a gateway to Fortran code, but not skilled at it yet.
I also know some Borland Delphi (and Lazarus IDE for linux).

Hello everyone!
