Knowledge Technologies are serving, without doubt, the establishment of a global society where the traditional boundaries of time and space have been broken to make way for a world within reach of anyone who has the knowledge, resources and skills needed for information management.

 

ORGANIZER

 

The Documentation Sciences Foundation (http://www.documentalistas.com), a Nonprofit International Organización located in Spain, which is organizing the 2nd Congress with the support of collaborators around the World, saw the need for an international forum where information professionals will meet to speak about the role of technology in their work and how this help to build a more just and egalitarian society.

 

So, the 2nd World Congress is meeting in the city of Santo Domingo on May 2009, a wide range of academics, analysts, entrepreneurs, professionals and politicians from different disciplines and nationalities (in total are expected more than 25 countries) to discuss the latest tools hardware, software and process solutions located within the Information Society, both in public and private sectors.
