Hi Andy,
Thanks for the advice. It's an APC 1500 Smart UPS. I did see on you tube where
one (not same model) had been made to run on external batteries and I also saw
one where the charging circuit had overheated.I'm stuffed, can't bring them on
the plane and they cost a fortune here.Maybe I have no choice.Thanks for your
help.
