The “GEOSS-Caribe” e-mail discussion group has evolved from a decision of the 4th teleconference of the Caribbean Flood Pilot Steering Committee and the 2nd annual “GEOSS in the Americas Symposium” in Panama, October 2008.

The group is intended to facilitate general stakeholder communications about the “Architecture Implementation Pilot” for disasters (floods) being championed by Stuart Frye of US National Aeronautic and Space Administration.

This e-mail discussion group is being organized as a voluntary contribution to the Pilot Project by Island Resources Foundation to support communications among members and and archives of these messages, among other activities.

Members are encouraged to post in any language in use in the region, in simple direct form, with an awareness that this is a multi-lingual group.
There is NO moderation for messages; messages addressed to this e-mail group (see addresses below) are posted to all members immediately.
