I have done some experiments and have been able to duplicate the
error that you reported by putting a suspect entry in the Windows
PATH environment variable. e.g.
PATH=C:\gpcp\bin;;C:\ARM\bin
(* ;; = null entry between the two valid paths *)
See if there is anything suspicious in your CPSYM and PATH
environment variables. You can access these via:
Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment Variables
I'll modify CPIDE to make it more immune to such problems. I'll also
add some trace statements to make it easier for me to diagnose the
problem if you still haven't been able to resolve it.
I've added a few minor enhancements recently. I'll aim to release an
updated version with all of this by the end of next week.
