Component Pascal is basically a superset of Oberon-2 so any books on Oberon
would be useful. The following list should keep you busy for a while:
http://www-old.oberon.ethz.ch/books.html#Wir88a
My recommendations from this list are:
For general programming techniques a must-have is:
"Algorithms and Data Structures (1985) (Oberon version: August 2004) - N.
Wirth". (You can download a copy from the link above).
I just could not get the hang of Object-Oriented programming until I read:
H. Mössenböck "Object-Oriented Programming in Oberon-2"
Not on the list, but a book that I read when I started .NET programming:
"Programming in the .NET Environment" by Watkins, Hammond and Abrams (Addison
Wesley).
This last book is interesting in that it includes a 16-page appendix titled
'Component Pascal on the CLR' written by John Gough. The book dates back to 2002
and includes this appendix as CP was one of the original seven languages
selected by Microsoft to be implemented on .NET,

Chris Burrows
