Founded in August 2007, the Greater Tehachapi Astronomy Club was created to foster amateur astronomy in Tehachapi, California, and surrounding communities. The GTAstronomyClub group is our way of sharing information and organizing activities. The Calendar lists local astronomy events. Skywatch, the news column written by local astronomer Dale Hawkins, is "reprinted" as a message. Check out the database of local observing sites. Vote in the polls and learn more about your local astronomers. Post your astrophotos in the files section.

New to astronomy and need help picking or using a telescope? No problem--astronomers love to help others discover the wondrous heavens above! Send a message with your questions or possibly meet with local astronomers for one-on-one help.
